At 50, she encountered Sharlayan, and started the path of being a participant in a study on a new body altering elixir. Fantasia.She would remain a participant up until the present. Still having access to Sharlayan in its new home in the isles. Remme would become their most important participant for research due not only to her long life, but her tendency to Fantasia often. Her beauty would become renowned, but the Viera never takes partners. Content within herself.Red Mage: Remme moved through life as an axe wielder. Going wherever the wind took her. However, she always had a pension for magic, and wished to learn how to wield it. But she always ran into issues procuring a teacher. Not enough White Magic to please the Conjurers, but not enough Black Magic to be taken on by the Thaumaturges. Remme Arda appeared to be a perfect balance of Light and Dark.Enter; The Red Mage.Taken on as an apprentice by those who practiced the art in Ala Mhigo, she formed bonds with her fellow mages and excelled in her craft. While the others would tend to their own bidding, there was one who made it a point to get to know Remme.She set him apart from the other men who took interest in her. He saw her as herself. Not just a pretty face in a bar. Something men thought they had a right to. As the two of them fell in love, Remme dropped the shield she brandished and allowed this Mage to get close. He was her first everything. Her first kiss. Her first love. Her first time.Then, Ala Mhigo is taken. And the Red Mages are betrayed by one of their own. Slaughtered in the night. Remme and her love were spared due to patrol, and she would stand solidly by his side when he swears vengeance. There's only one problem.He pushes her away.This man; Her first. Her first everything, pushes her away. Thinking only of her safety. Not if she would be happy to take this risk to remain by his side. Not what she wants. Or what she is capable of. Remme is left bereft of him, and of their friends. Left with their blood on her hands and dirt caked under her nails as she buries their comrades.He is her first heartbreak. And she swears to never let a man into her heart again.Present: After the liberation of Ala Mhigo and the events of Endwalker, Remme finds herself in Ishgard. A wandering adventurer who signs up for the newly founded guild there on a whim. The possibility of a comfy bed and a warm bath enticing after many long years on the road.Little does she know that its happenings and guild master will change who she is. Will interrupt her balance.

Mystery Songstress Amongst the Firmament? A Rising Star Takes the Stage!
The Firmament as we know has become host to a myriad of peoples. Those displaced by the Dragonsong War, peoples who have lost their homes to Calamity, and even some dragons have taken up residence there. While the homes were originally built for such individuals, Lord Francel ensures entertainment as well to boost morale. As such, traders and artists from across the lands frequent the Firmament, and even musicians take the time to make their voices heard. However, there is usually some inclination of who these people are.Enter the Firmament's Mystery songstress; A woman of enigma whose voice was said to charm everyone within earshot that night.According to Lord Francel in an interview, the unknown singer appeared in response to an Ad he put out looking for entertainers to take the place of the performers for that evening's party. The Homunculi were originally booked, but got stuck at Falcon's Nest with the oncoming snow storm. Desperate to not let down those who had already travelled and those who lived within the firmament walls, he put out the word that they were looking for a replacement.
"When I put out the Ad, I wasn't too hopeful. It was such short notice that I would have taken anyone at that point. So when she showed up to inquire, I'm ashamed to say I didn't catch her name in my panic. Just asked her to do what she could and brief anyone she needed for help with her performance."
Lord Francel explains that he left her to her own devices as he helped prepare. Focusing on ensuring that the new "Microphones" provided by the Skysteel Manufactuary's collaboration with The Ironworks were set up properly. Marvelous technological wonders that combine Magitek and Aether to project sound in venues. Our Songstress used one for her performance; Joined by a scant number of experienced Musicians, and even Count Artoirel on Piano for her musical number(s).The Count was not available for an interview, but his love of music and appreciation for the arts is well known amongst those in Ishgard. Surely he offered his services to ensure the night went smoothly for all involved.And with that, we come to our star of the evening. I have attended many performances on behalf of our illustrious pressroom. Found myself in front of anything that ranged from symphonies and operas to lounge singers in the seedier parts of Ul'dah. I've witnessed talents performing on the streets, and even some riding down those same streets; Individuals who couldn't go a minute without humming a tune. I dare say I have heard a myriad of lyrical styles. Some of which even involved battling with wordplay.So reader, when I say this woman blew me away? She Blew Me Away.With the oncoming snow storm, the stage had a backdrop of beautiful crimson drapery. Meant to provide a buffer against the chill coming in from the East. Even with that and the shine of the lights(Also a marvel provided by the collaboration between Skysteel and the Ironworks), it was blisteringly cold. Yet, our woman of the hour walked out in a sleeveless, backless dress. Nothing upon her shoulders but a white fur boa and her gorgeously long hair. I managed only to get one passable photo of her, and I fear the print of the newspaper will diminish its effect. So, I shall describe her to you;
The woman in this image has the fairest skin I've ever gazed upon. With arms that rippled with muscle, and whose lips were ruched crimson much like her backdrop. Her dress, also red, glittered with jewels like stars, and the only thing that trumped her beauty and the intelligent way her eyes with lashes so long they kissed her flushed cheeks flicked through the crowd was her voice.
A voice that hit every high note she reached for, and fell into a tenor that rasped and a growling bass that shook me to my core. Sending shivers down my spine. I found myself unable to take my eyes off of her. Only existing to drink of her essence and listen to her song. A song that shook the very foundation of the firmament, and touched the hearts of all who gathered.Never before have I seen such a heartfelt demand for encores. Nor cheers through shedding tears as she sang songs about home. About people's doubts. About death. Grief. Survival. About getting back on your feet despite everything in order to see the 'morrow. About romance and love and loving your family; No matter where you find it. The Firmament was a brighter place in her wake, and its people haven't stopped searching for this wayward singer and her foreign songs.I find myself searching as well. Looking for her gaze within the eyes of every Viera who crosses our walls. So, my dear readers, I ask this of you; Do you know this Mysterious Songstress? And if so, please; Tell her Thank You for us. I believe many of us had forgotten the joy music could bring. Especially songs that are sung for the people, rather than to coerce them.Halone's Blessings be upon ye, readers. Stay safe out there;
